Volt is immediately hiring an Administrative Assistant in Sacramento, CA.

As an Administrative Assistant you will:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Perform front desk operations, including scheduling appointments.
  • Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Perform clerical work such as operate office equipment, use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, data entry, and other applications
  • Effectively communicate in-person and respond to emails promptly with internal staff, external customers and field employees.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures are being carried out.
  • Support high volume onboarding process and pipeline of new employees.
  • Conduct pre-employment assessments.
  • Filing/electronic archiving of documents, maintaining department office, cleaning, PPE and other general supplies
  • Assist employees with personnel questions regarding their assignment such as W4 Changes, Address Changes, Direct Deposit, Payroll Inquiries, Sick time facilitation, and Employment verification.
  • Review and process I-9 documentation to ensure employment eligibility.
  • Collect, audit, and submit all required and requested documentation by deadline.
  • Monitor applicant tracking system, ensure quality data is maintained and compliance requirements are met.
This is a full-time opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Knowledge of HR guidelines and best practices is a plus
  • Candidates selected must meet all pre-screening eligibility requirements
Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
