Agile Scrum Master

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Agile Scrum Master for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJ

Position Title: Agile Scrum Master

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 12 Months.

Job Type: CONTRACT, (Hybrid)

Monday- Friday (5x8)

Candidate who is authorized to work independently

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Description:
1. Use Jira to track time spent on various categories of activity.

2. Use past stats to conduct planning discussion on quarterly basis.

3. Keep track of enterprise mandates for application, coordinate them with developers and other groups.

4. Organize and keep track of level 3 production support. Ensure issues are handled timely and according to priority.

5. Run scrum ceremonies, track attendance, keep track of notes and action items in wiki.

6. Organize production releases: keep track of dates, tickets and signoffs, communicate deadlines.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficient with Jira boards, plans and reporting.

2. Proficient with Agile/scrum methodology and ceremonies.

3. Proficient with MS Excel, including pivot tables and charts.

4. Good communication skills. Able to talk to developers and product owners in their languages.

5. Good motivation skills. Help maintain productive relationships between team members.

6. Some technical experience or education.

7. 7-10 years' operating as a Scrum Master

7. Financial experience a plus
