Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, setup, and deployment of the Apigee API management platform, integrating it with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to meet business and technical requirements.
• Provision and configure Apigee hybrid or edge installations within GKE clusters to optimize API performance and security.
• Set up and manage API gateways to ensure efficient routing and secure communication between API proxies and backend services hosted on GKE.
• Ensure the secure configuration of API proxies, enforcing access control, encryption, and other security measures to protect data and services.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience with Google Apigee, including hybrid or edge installations, API management, and configuration.
• Strong understanding of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), with experience deploying and managing applications within GKE clusters.
• Expertise in configuring API gateways and managing communication between API proxies and backend services.
• Knowledge of securing APIs and ensuring secure communication, including the use of authentication, authorization, encryption, and other security mechanisms.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, particularly involving Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
