Are you a passionate Senior Medical Expert ready to support the leading edge of scientific and health care advancements in the Federal Government today?
ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's health care ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its health care and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a "systems engineering and technical assistance" advisor, you will provide support and thought leadership to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. This role supports the Resilience Systems Office (RSO).
What you will do:
Serve as a medical advisor and subject matter expert:
- Advising and guiding program initiatives related to the emergency medicine and medical center design to rural health care systems.
- Establish business development solutions to enhance rural health care systems.
Support the integration of advanced medical services outside the hospital setting:
- Enabling the development of integrated care delivery platform.
- Enabling the development of mobile platform to bring cutting edge medical services to rural environments.
Stay current with scientific advancements:
- Actively track and analyze new research findings in this field.
- Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the program's progress.
- Participate in scientific discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the program's overall knowledge base.
Collaborate effectively within a diverse team:
- Build strong relationships with computational scientists, engineers, and other scientific advisors involved in the program.
- Communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.

Salary Range: $100,000-$180,000
General Description of Benefits
Required Skills: - Doctor of Medicine
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in practicing medicine
- Demonstrably strong expertise in emergency medicine, medical center design improvements, and business development advisor in health care systems
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write scientific reports.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and a passion for health care and scientific discovery.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.
- Ph.D. in Microbiology or related field.
Desired Skills: - Three years or more experience within a Federal ARPA organization.
- Two years or more experience in Federal health care and/or Scientific Consulting.
- Experience supporting complex health care and programs of a research and development nature.
