As an Assistant Director, you'll oversee all operations of the region's group homes, including supervising managers and staff; providing budget and financial oversight to programs; ensuring compliance with OARs, agency policies, and our philosophy of care; ensuring ISPs, financial safeguards, and other protective measures for the people in our services are followed; participating in licensing reviews and quality assurance processes; and related tasks.

Essential Duties

  • Supervise and manage assigned program managers.
  • Manage each program within agency-approved budget.
  • Review ISP's developed by Program Managers to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and conduct monthly reviews of the personal finances of those served.
  • Function as Program Manager when coverage is needed.
  • Ensure adequate Quality Assurance support to each assigned program.
  • Complete state licensing review Plan of Corrections.
  • Participate in weekly Quality Assurance meetings.
  • Assist with new program development.
  • Provide oversight for OIS practice at Group Homes.

Qualifications

  • Five years experience with progressive responsibility in an organization within the developmental disabilities service system.
  • Two years experience in a social service setting for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Working knowledge of the philosophy and approaches used to provide optimal support options to people with developmental disabilities.
  • Staff supervisory experience required.
