Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include providing an outstanding training environment for postdoctoral fellows and graduate and medical students.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing and maintaining an independent, extramurally funded research program at the intersection of some of the most dynamic areas in experimental oncology, including but not limited to functional cancer genomics and transcriptomics, genome editing, metabolism and proteomics, chemical biology, precision medicine, and cancer immunotherapy. A generous recruitment package and wet laboratory space will be provided together with outstanding institutional resources, which include close ties to the clinical enterprise and easy access to patients samples. Furthermore, as a CHOP-based Penn faculty member, the candidate will have access to the rich research environment and collaborative opportunities across the entire CHOP/University of Pennsylvania campus and Penn's Abramson Cancer Center. The Search Committee will be chaired by Dr. Andrei Thomas-Tikhonenko.
