Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent will support the project superintendent in overseeing concrete operations on heavy civil projects. This role involves coordinating field activities, managing labor and materials, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Superintendent in planning and executing concrete-related activities.
• Coordinate and supervise concrete placement, including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, and finishing.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
• Monitor project schedules and assist in resource allocation to meet deadlines.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of work sites to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in the preparation of daily reports and documentation.
• Support in training and mentoring field staff on best practices and safety procedures.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on concrete operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• 5 + years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on concrete work.
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Familiarity with project management software and scheduling tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
