Position: Associate Product Manager
Department: Marketing
Work Location: Boston, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: Helen of Troy associates enjoy the advantages and flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for in office 3 days minimum, and remote 2 days. Any changes to this working model would be communicated accordingly.
What you will be doing:
The Associate Manager, Product Marketing will manage and implement the global product innovation pipeline and innovation launch strategy for Drybar liquids, tools, accessories categories to align with the brand DNA, global brand strategy and financial targets. This person will lead cross-functional alignment across teams to build effective collaboration, communication and development of successful product launch strategies and execution.
This role collaborates closely with cross-functional business partners (Product Development, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, Creative, Digital, Channel Marketing, Education, Sales) to help support growth plans, drive business, and improve the brand story.
- Lead innovation pipeline and timeline
- Maintain innovation roadmap and development timelines
- Lead innovation concept brief process in collaboration with product development
- Lead the stage gate process from concept to launch approval
- Conduct regular market research to understand assortment white space/competition
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product portfolio and performance within the global hair category
- Lead execution of go-to-market strategy for all new product launches
- Prepare launch presentations to share with internal teams and external business partners including key insights from current/future market trends
- Handle development of creative briefs for all new launches with cross-functional teams
- Partner closely with creative team to ensure accurate content is collected at photo/video shoots
- Partner closely with channel marketing/sales on product launch dates
- Partner with brand marketing to define and implement hero product strategy (i.e., activations, sampling, etc.)
- Review sales estimates/forecasts for new product launches in collaboration with sales/demand planning/channel marketing
- Ensure consistent and clear cascade of product strategy to cross-functional teams
- Lead product positioning process for product reformulations/new launches
- Lead Product Master File copy updates/changes and communicate with cross-functional teams
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement copy, packaging artwork and collateral material development
- Lead product portfolio optimization process Promote and facilitate ongoing learning
- Assess current product portfolio performance
- Find opportunities for product discontinuations and white space in current assortment
- Collaborate with PD on packaging upgrades
- Collaborate with Channel Marketing/Sales/PD on assortment pricing opportunities
- Lead annual stylist product survey
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
- Strong analytical skills including ability to translate reports
- Strong Computer Skills: Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook
- Consumer obsessed and possess strong consumer understanding
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the retail/beauty landscape
- Exhibit a keen ability to handle a multitude of projects at one time, be proactive, hands on and handle pressure in a fast-paced business.
- Strong project management skills and follow-through on details
- Ability and maturity to lead a multitude of projects in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, International Business
- 3+ years of related experience in CPG, Beauty, or Fashion
- Experience with external agencies (i.e., Creative)
- Experience managing budgets
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working in prestige beauty
