Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

Key responsibilities:

Support Sample Management (e.g. biological and chemical samples for release, stability, retention) and Stability Study Management tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Use of various electronic inventory and data management systems (e.g. Laboratory Information Management (LIMS), Electronic Lab Notebook (GRE ELN), TRACK, SAP)
  • Create and verify Release, Specification, Stability Study, and Sample related elements in LIMS
  • Assist with Chamber related activities including Qualification Protocols and data review
  • Assist with LIMS and Chamber related Incident Management and Metrics activities
  • Assist with receiving pharmaceutical product samples, which involves physically lifting and placing incoming shipments into designated areas, opening packages and verifying contents, documenting into electronic inventory systems, notifying stakeholders of received samples, and troubleshooting shipment errors.
  • Assist with distributing samples, which involves removing from stability chambers samples scheduled for testing, coordinating sample labels, packing samples into appropriate containers per specified storage/shipping conditions, adding appropriate documentation, physically delivering samples to designated locations or coordinating international and domestic shipments, initiating electronic shipment requests, and coordinating with recipients.
  • Assist with maintaining samples, which involves locating samples identified for discard (keep up with discard list from quality), moving samples shelf-to-shelf, chamber-to-chamber, updating sample location in electronic inventory system, and assist team members with various studies and requests
  • Support execution of testing protocols to support validation activities (chamber related tasks such as moving samples and bins between chambers), and maintain associated sampling supplies (and shipping supplies), equipment (data loggers...), and lab glassware (supplies and equipment inventory for the lab - from ordering standpoint).
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
  • Assoc Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-2 years')
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $25.00-$31.00.
