Bill of Materials Coordinator

Scope of Position:

Maintains various Bills of Materials (BOMs) for multiple Distributor Product Group product lines within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Works under the direction of the Engineering Administrator to upload and maintain product BOM information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processes Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Release Notices (ERNs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including product drawing releases and changes to the BOMs
• Ensures that all uploads and modifications to the BOMs maintain proper product structure
• Audits product uploads to ensure data integrity and consistency in the ERP system
• Checks all data referenced on engineering drawings and Assemble To Order (ATO) configurations
• Creates and maintains Visio process maps defining engineering guidelines and procedures
• Creates data reference spreadsheets
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or required

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required, Associate's degree preferred
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and BOMs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Visio experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the Product Development team
• Attention to detail with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of the Friedman ERP or other ERP system preferred
• Understanding of BOM structure within an ERP system
• Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry experience a plus
