Job Description:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day financial tasks, including recording transactions, managing accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the company.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Record Financial Transactions: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate account balances.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and issue invoices to clients, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Expense Tracking: Track and manage company expenses, including employee reimbursements, petty cash, and company credit cards.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements as needed.
  • Tax Preparation Support: Assist with preparing documents for tax filings and work closely with external accountants or auditors during tax season.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and government regulations.
  • Assist with Budgeting: Support the Finance Manager in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing up-to-date financial data.
  • Vendor and Client Liaison: Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment terms, discrepancies, and financial issues.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small to medium-sized business.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Certification: Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external clients.
