Position Description
Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
- Process and manage prior authorizations for timely completion n subspecialty divisions.
- Monitor message box for division to ensure messages are responded to timely, and urgent messages are addressed by RN/Provider within policy guidelines.
- Monitor and process faxes and efax timely for divisions.
- Facilitate communication between clinic and billing/coding or managed care and subspecialty divisions.
- Assist with referral process to other specialists as directed by providers.
- Assist with scheduling appointments for other diagnostic testing, referrals, and laboratory
services.
- Assist with prepping, stocking, cleaning rooms as needed during peak clinic times and when clinic is short staffed.

- Experience with Prior Authorizations, Diagnostic insurance authorization preferred.
