NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED * PAID TRAINING * GREAT PAY
• We offer round-the-clock opportunities on multiple shifts with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available
• Flexible hours and days up to 29 hours per week
• Preferably looking for candidates who are available for 8-10 hour shifts on day(s) called into work; shorter shifts from 4 to 9 hours can also be accommodated. We are flexible to your schedule.
• Due to the nature of this job, you may be asked to report to work on short notice - If you are available

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Casual General Labor Worker effectively and efficiently performs assistive tasks that are frequently routine and manual to prepare food production runs following established safety, quality, and production standards for drying, freezing, dry processing, wet processing, sifting, grinding, boxing, re-boxing and packaging. The tasks in which this position will help are in disassembling, assembling, sanitizing, transporting, loading, unloading, and setting-up materials, supplies and equipment. This job is part of a casual labor pool that will be called into work on an as needed basis (work and number of hours worked are not guaranteed each week).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Disassemble/breakdown - Assists in breaking down and/or disassembling production equipment as needed to sanitize it.
• Clean/sanitize - Assists in the cleaning and sanitizing of production areas, equipment and tools following established and approved procedures; Fills and replenishes cleaning chemicals into dispensers and equipment; disposes of debris, materials, trash and other unnecessary items as needed from production areas; washes, sanitizes trays and racks; performs tasks manually and/or using hoses, handheld cleaning tools and/or powered tools and equipment.
• Assemble/set up - Assists in assembling and setting up production equipment as needed to begin a new production run.
• Transport - Assists in transporting food products from holding or storage area to designated processing area. Moves production supplies and equipment after production runs and prepares it for cleaning.
• Load/Fill - Assist in loading and filling food products onto or into designated production, process, weighing or holding equipment; task performed manually and/or using powered equipment/tools.
• Transfer - Assists in transferring product to and from, in and out of, specific processing supplies and equipment such as trays, tray racks, chambers, and grinders.
• Unload - Assists in unloading of food production onto or into designated production, process, weighing or holding equipment.
• Package - Assembles boxes and other packaging material to be filled with product and assembles pallets of finished product.
• Safety - Identifies and reports all injuries and incidents immediately. Corrects unsafe work conditions where possible. Attends and participates in safety related training and testing including but not limited to forklift operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Hours and days may vary from week to week but will be no more than 29 hours per week.
• Must be available for 8-10-hour shifts for each day called into work.
• Must be flexible for days and hours of work and available within short notice.
• Must be available to attend required training as needed.

JOB EXPERIENCE:
• No experience required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Basic knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
• Basic mechanical and technical understanding of, or able to quickly learn, production equipment.
• Interpret and follow simple verbal and written instructions.
• Able to follow directions, work well independently or as part of a team.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Must demonstrate a great attitude and the willingness to help others.
• Read, write and speak basic English or Spanish.

EDUCATION:
• No formal education required.

The employee must frequently lift, transport, move and positions pallets and handle product, equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to detect, perceive and observe while performing jobs.

• Constantly exposed to moderately cold or hot temperatures; occasionally exposed to extreme cold, hot, humid, and wet conditions including handling frozen product.
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Constantly exposed to moderate noise occasionally requiring hearing protection.
• Occasionally required to wear breathing protection.
• Constantly wear standard food manufacturing Personal Protective Equipment.
• Constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
