Title: Colleague Systems Administrator

Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Information Systems, the Colleague Systems Administrator provides administrative and technical support of the administrative computer systems and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the systems such as creating/deleting accounts, monitoring system performance, and providing user support. The Colleague Systems Administrator is responsible for coordinating the installation and maintenance of all system and application software, system backups and repairs. To keep downtime to a minimum, the Colleague Systems Administrator is required to work after hours and be on call for emergencies. Assistance in project management is also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular system maintenance including software updates, version upgrades, database migrations, and ancillary associated tasks.
  • Maintain login access and security for Colleague and Colleague Self Service.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Information Systems to create and update Colleague test and development environments as needed.
  • Provide user support for Colleague and Colleague Self Service.
  • Comply with all applicable College, Federal, State, local, and associational laws, rules and regulations.
  • Participate in significant campus activities, such as Welcome Weekend, True Blue Weekend, and Commencement Weekend.
  • As a representative of the College, comport themself in a professional manner at all times, both on and off campus.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or a related field or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Windows Server Administration preferred. Microsoft SQL Administration preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the Ellucian Colleague ERP system.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Unidata, Microsoft Windows Administration, and Microsoft SQL.
  • Proficiency in administering application servers, including system updates, backups, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of the college's technology standards and policies.
  • An underlying knowledge of network concepts.
  • Experience with Colleague APIs (Self-Service, and Ethos) to create and manage integrations with existing and future third-party tools and software.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, GDPR).
  • Implementing access controls and ensuring secure data handling.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve system performance issues, user errors, and application bugs.

Pay Range: $60,000 to $70,000
