A well-established construction firm with a strong local presence and ambitions to expand nationally. The company specializes in commercial projects, including retail, quick service and full-service restaurants, religious buildings, parking structures, and site improvements. With a consistent workflow, the firm aims to grow its team to support expanding operations.

The company is actively seeking a Senior/Chief Estimator to lead its preconstruction team at the main office in Brea, CA. The ideal candidate will have nearly 10 years of experience in commercial estimating, particularly in projects averaging $10 million to $20 million. This role involves working closely with a small team in the office and overseeing bids for projects across the US, with a focus on Southern California.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and rebuild the preconstruction team.
• Oversee and organize the master sheet on a weekly basis.
• Supervise and mentor middle-level estimators and support staff.
• Ensure strong preconstruction processes and practices.

Qualifications:

• Nearly 10 years of experience in commercial estimating.
• Strong background in retail and various commercial projects.
• Experience with projects valued at $200-$300 million.
• Proficiency in Excel, On-Screen Takeoff, and Procore.
• Ability to work closely with a small team and manage multiple bids.
• Leadership skills to mentor and develop team members.
• Local to Southern California or willing to relocate.

Salary:

• Competitive salary up to $200,000 + Benefits + 401K.
• End-of-year bonus
