Apply now for the position of Commodity Manager and you will be a key player in driving procurement excellence at our largest DX site in Walpole. This role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders to represent Strategic Procurement on local projects and initiatives. The candidate will contribute to our five core elements of Strategic Procurement: Sustainability, Resilience, Performance, Digitalization, and Partnership.

This role is particularly attractive due to the wide range of responsibilities and the opportunity to engage in cross-functional contacts. The Commodity Manager will play a crucial role in adding value to the business by driving strategic initiatives that enhance overall business performance, not just focusing on cost reduction.

Your role:

  • Take ownership of spend and suppliers locally managed, identify cost reduction opportunities, including RFQ, negotiations, contracting, evaluation, and risk management.
  • Drive the local implementation of procurement programs. Leading defined local and cross-site improvement projects.
  • Support strategic projects from a procurement perspective, ensuring early involvement and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Represent Strategic Procurement in site-specific meetings such as management meetings, site productivity meetings, and SCM planning meetings.
  • Act as an interface to the reginal and global Strategic Procurement organization, support global commodity manager in site implementation activities.
  • Execute local supplier risk reviews according to the DX P Risk Management process.

Your expertise:
  • Strong supplier negotiation, management, and relationship skills.
  • Excellent project management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, with cultural awareness, strong listening skills and possess good convincing skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive, with an openness to explore new approaches.
  • Market analysis and supplier relationship management
  • Cost analysis and strategic sourcing.
  • Risk management and understanding of global supply chains
  • High expectations for self-learning and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • MS Office, MS 365-Copilot and SAP skills, experiences with AI tools in Strategic Procurement

The Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience within a relevant manufacturing industry (IVD, Pharma, Medical, or similar preferred) and procurement expertise.
  • Minimum of 8 years professional experience in related field, preferably in FDA controlled environment
  • Expertise in commodities sourced for in-vitro diagnostics
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
