Our client, a higher education institute located in the Boston area, is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join their team for 3+ months. The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm and it is compensating $25 an hour. Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, plan, and execute the communications calendar
- Lead maintenance and updates to website
- Develop long and short form content for and manage social media sites
- Manage and update contacts database
- Create and design program, event, and recruitment print/marketing materials
- Design, write, and disseminate newsletter
- Support the writing of annual fundraising appeals, stewardship materials, and other donor related campaigns
- Educate and train staff on communication/marketing best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of communications/marketing or related experience required
- Bachelor's degree in communications, photojournalism, broadcast journalism, film, media, visual arts, or related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of AP style
- Strong technical skills, including demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suites, Google Suites, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Constant Contact, Wordpress and Vimeo
- Ability to effectively manage time with multiple concurrent projects in an evolving environment
- Proficient with various communications platforms, including web, email, social media, and print.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred.
