In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:Responsibilities: In support of the mission of the University Libraries to preserve and provide access to library materials the Conservation Unit intern supports preventive preservation initiatives and performs conservation treatments under the direction of the Conservation Unit and Collections Care staff members.
Duty Description: As a member of the Conservation Unit the intern undertakes a range of simple conservation treatments for books and paper and builds conservation enclosures for a variety of materials. The intern will also support a variety of activities under the supervision of the Collections Care Manager including pest management, measuring boxes, and cleaning collections among others.
Additional Information:The internship will occur January 6th - May 2nd.
