Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Family Law Attorney to join our legal team on a contract basis. As a Family Law Attorney, you will handle a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, adoption, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court proceedings related to family law issues. This position requires a strong commitment to advocating for clients' rights and providing compassionate legal support during challenging times.

Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and guidance on family law issues to clients.
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in family law.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court hearings.
Advocate for clients' interests and rights in family law matters.
Manage and prioritize a caseload effectively.
Maintain communication with clients and provide updates on case progress.
Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to achieve client objectives.
Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state Bar and in good standing.
Proven experience practicing family law, preferably in a law firm setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with clients.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience handling complex family law cases.
Familiarity with local family court procedures and rules.
Fluency in languages other than English relevant to the local community.
