Description:
Corporate Controller

  • Must have Manufacturing and experience working with a Private Equity owned company

The Corporate Controller will oversee the company's controllership activities, including accounting, auditing, tax compliance, and reporting. This role demands a strong leader with excellent business acumen, a deep understanding of GAAP and SOX, and exceptional skills in financial statement analysis, presentation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, proactive manager with a commitment to continuous process improvement and the ability to consistently meet deadlines and produce accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

Controllership:
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Handle external and internal audit requests, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors for compliance and timely submissions.
  • Lead and manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and inventory management processes.
  • Review and approve account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll reporting and coding.
  • Administer incentive compensation programs (Sales, LEAN, TEE).
  • Oversee capital deployment, reporting, reconciliation, and tracking.
  • Lead the cycle count program and physical inventory process.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with the Levels of Authority document.
  • Authorize ACH and wire payments through Bank of America.
  • Align financial processes globally.
  • Monitor established procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as needed.
Financial Leadership and Communication:
  • Collaborate across the organization to positively influence business outcomes. Communicate effectively with business leaders across all functional areas.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff. Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; mentor and develop employees; address complaints and resolve issues in line with company policies.
  • Foster a culture of performance and results.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master's in Accounting preferred.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred,
