Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Database Engineer II:
- Respond to on-call, customer, and emergent work relating to database deployments and maintenances
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and optimize new and existing database infrastructure to support new and existing games and services
- Design and implement routine data migrations between MySQL data sources
- Design and implement replication and backup technologies for critical MySQL databases
- Design and implement Database level monitoring and alerting for our client's MySQL database stack
Required Skills for Database Engineer II:
- 3+ years of database administration experience working with cloud-based and locally deployed MySQL technologies
- 4+ years of database administration experience working with large scale Relational MySQL databases
- Experience with full database development life cycle
- Proven ability to administrate, maintain, and recover MySQL databases
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
