Job Title: Director, Sales Leadership Development & Account Management
Location: Boston, MA or Dallas, TX (Hybrid - 3 days/in office)
Overview:
The Director, Sales Leadership Development & Account Management is responsible for shaping the strategy, design, and execution of leadership development initiatives and account management practices across Galderma's U.S. Commercial teams. This role will focus on developing and implementing high-impact programs that enhance the skills and competencies of sales leaders and account managers, ensuring they excel in customer engagement, relationship building, and driving business growth. The Director will work closely with marketing and sales leadership to align develop efforts with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Development:
- Identify and prioritize the necessary competencies and skill sets required for effective sales leadership in the evolving marketplace.
- Develop and implement comprehensive leadership development programs for sales professionals and sales leaders to enhance their skills and drive performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify skill gaps and create tailored training initiatives that support career advancement with the sales team.
Account Management:
- Evaluate and prioritize the necessary competencies and skill sets required for effective account management in the evolving marketplace across Galderma's US business.
- Oversee the training plan for the management of key accounts, ensuring strategies are in place to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
- Develop strategic account management capability plans that align with organizational goals and drive performance.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration:
- Develop and implement standardized training tools, curricula, and operational solutions for account management and sales leadership across the U.S. to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with marketing, market access, and product teams to ensure that training and account strategies are aligned with corporate goals.
- Implement robust evaluation procedures to assess the effectiveness of training programs, utilizing feedback and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate training programs and account management outcomes to leadership, identifying potential development areas and opportunities for enhancement.
- Manage the budget for leadership development and account management initiatives, ensuring alignment with organization priorities and financial targets.
Cultural Leadership:
- Oversee and mentor direct report(s) dedicated to the development and delivery of training content, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely execution of training initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging a growth mindset across the sales organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience, within a corporate environment is required, direct pharmaceutical manufacturer experience required
- Prior training experience is required and experience developing and delivering impactful leadership development programs for field teams.
- Field Sales Leadership and account management experience is highly preferred
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
- Strong understanding of complex specialty markets, with the ability to simplify complex content for effective communication.
- Exceptional business acumen and the ability to quickly assess and respond to changing business dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in driving cross-functional integration and achieving outcomes in ambiguous environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
