How Will You Make an Impact?

The Finance Tech Enablement team implements technology solutions like Robotic Process Automation, Data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. They partner with the business and digital technology teams to drive standardization, simplification, and productivity gains in Finance.

The Discovery Process Automation Manager is in charge of finding and implementing the best technological and process simplification solutions to improve business efficiency, standardization, and transformation. They will work closely with collaborators from all levels to drive global initiatives and strategies for adopting automation capabilities like RPA, Process Mining, Smart OCR, and Process re-engineering. Experience in project management is a plus. They will also lead efforts to optimize finance functions within the AIG division through automation solutions.

What Will You Do?

  • Proactively engage with finance experts and cross-functional teams to gain in-depth business processes understanding and identify and prioritize automation opportunities.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and meetings to maintain a dynamic and growing pipeline of automation opportunities and align with evolving business priorities, capturing innovative automation ideas.
  • Foster the adoption of automation by presenting success stories, facilitating workshops, and formulating reasons that support the development of cases with cost-benefit analyses.
  • Manage the automation project lifecycle, including backlog management, prioritization, and reviews with the Automation Governance Council.
  • Define and implement agile execution practices, ensuring all requirements are well-documented, traceable, and testable.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, developers, and other collaborators to drive projects to timely and effective completion.
  • Develop effective communication and maintain alignment with collaborators, providing regular project updates and progress reporting, including insights for leadership and executives.
  • Track and manage the financial performance of the automation portfolio, reporting on program investments and outcomes.
  • Maintain quality assurance throughout project lifecycles, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying repetitive tasks for automation, implementing solutions like RPA.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance or relevant field required.
Experience
  • 5+ years of Finance and Accounting domain expertise (preferred)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience on RPA tools and cognitive platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Process mining. (UiPath experience is a plus).
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Lean Six Sigma).
  • 2+ years of JIRA Administrative experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing project teams (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to quickly learn and analyze requirements, propose a viable solution.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and/or related business process excellence trainings (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Excel is required, with knowledge of VBA as a strong advantage.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with and influence all levels of collaborators, strong facilitation & interpersonal skills; confidence.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to deliver effective presentations and educate at all organization levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, business sense, and ability to address systemic issues; leverages and shares standard processes.
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risks.
