Job Summary:

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking an engineer to support the 300mm semiconductor Yield Engineering Team specifically for Electrical Characterization. The core responsibilities of this team involve wafer electrical test disposition of all high-volume manufacturing silicon as well as inline electrical process control. The ideal candidate should have an excellent foundation in electrical engineering and statistics as well as a passion to learn and problem solve.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Electrical characterization of semiconductor devices and health-of-line electrical test structures (HOL) to sustain volume production, disposition of production materials, and electrical test
  • Support general and urgent fab operation issues
  • Review ET (electrical test), Health of Line (HOL) and inline statistical process control (SPC), analyze sources of variation, improve line control, and transistor variability.
  • Work with and communicate with customers on electrical targeting, trends and Cpk / variability.
  • Electrical analysis of controlled process changes for device, defectivity and yield improvements.
  • Support Engineering teams on manufacturing ramp, cost reduction and risk analysis.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Circuit Design, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
  • Working knowledge in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.
  • Affinity for quick learning.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Prior related internship or work experience
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).

Expected Salary Range
$52,500.00 - $107,000.00
