JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities & Duties of this position include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining safe working conditions while adhering to and enforcing safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform assignments as directed by management.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, division, group, company, and the community.
  • Maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform mathematical calculations and competency on computers.
  • Read and comprehend complicated materials and instructions and be able to communicate them effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Organize, plan and prioritize workload.
  • Meet deadlines.
  • Recognize and define problems using investigative process to analyze and evaluate complex information from a number of sources in order to develop a solution.
  • Monitor production processes and ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Creating and updating work instructions for the maintenance of equipment.
  • Solve problems using intuition, logical reasoning, and innovation.
  • Analyze, interpret and document statistical data, make recommendations if needed.
  • Self-directed and motivated, able to lead by listening and using attention to detail.
  • Handle and safeguard sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner
  • Meet safety & production objectives.
  • Adjust to frequent changes of activity and workload.
  • Able to work overtime or change of shift/crew with little or no notice.
  • Demonstrate and have a high level of attention for detail and have exceptional eyesight and hearing.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting deviations and disposing of or identifying and equipment that is not in conformance.
  • Have knowledge and EXPERIENCE with lock out tag out.
  • Install and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Install conduit and calculate wire size and ability to pull wire.
  • Repair, rebuild and complete preventative maintenance on motors, lighting circuits, starters, controls, ovens, presses and other manufacturing equipment and devices.
  • Operate a lathe, milling machine and drill press.
  • Able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair problems with installations and electrical equipment.
  • Able to read schematics and electrical wiring diagrams and drawings.
  • Able to construct complex circuitry.
  • Able to work with PLC- preferably Allen Bradley.
  • Able to work standing up for 8-12 hours at a time.
  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work in warm and sometimes humid atmosphere.
  • Must have 3+ years of electrical manufacturing and electromechanical experience.
  • Must be willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited steel toe shoes, hearing protection, electrical personal protective equipment, uniforms and safety glasses.
  • Must be willing and able to work all shifts, including weekends as necessary.
  • Must have exceptional eyesight and ability to identify color specifications.
  • Must be able to supply own tools.
