JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Job & Career Planning- Plan with all team members to determine career interests, specific job preferences (hours, location, etc.), skills and abilities to develop an individualized job development plan. Perform specific job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities for new positions. Coordinate job placement, job coach activities, travel training (if available) accommodations, and necessary job supports for consumers. Develop job-training plan with consumers and appropriate support personnel as guided by the IPE. Write individualized program plans, monitor progress and report results. Interpret results of individualized program plans and progress toward program objectives to team members, managers and other staff as appropriate. Plan for improvements. Work with assigned employees to promote successful employment and retention through regular contact with assigned employees and manager.
  • Job Readiness- Provides retention supports to both Project SEARCH affiliated employee and department staff in order to successfully maintain current employment. Creates accommodations when needed to enhance performance and ensure work quality. Plans and executes weekly Job Club activities with project SEARCH affiliated employees addressing areas such as but not limited to job retention strategies, social development, grooming, and all areas related to CARES standards and hospital policies. Provides and/or plans for training in the areas of grooming, hygiene, communication, budgeting, interviewing, self-advocacy as they relate to successful employment.
  • Collaboration- Partners with participating departments to ensure compliance for Project SEARCH affiliated employees for mandated ongoing education and other hospital programs, i.e. flu shots, benefits selection, etc. Partner with Project SEARCH Human Resource liaison to facilitate career exploration and advancement opportunities.
  • External Communication & Reporting- Responsible for documentation and reporting to external agencies for funding and compliance. Develop linkages among other agencies to assure effective transition from school to work or from current placement to successful Project SEARCH competitive employment. Work with consumers, employers, families, agency personnel, and other appropriate parties to problem solve issues related to employment.
  • Leadership- Knowledgeable of current best practices in the field of supported employment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
