Overview
i3 has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division. The TEWD's purpose is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through simulation, testing and evaluation. Candidate will be responsible for electronic and mechanical assembly of a variety of electronic hardware for use within a RF test facility including: electrical chassis, cables and electromechanical assembly efforts.
Responsibilities

  • Mechanical assembly of chassis, circuit card assemblies and cables.
  • Debug/troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
  • Testing/analysis of radio frequency (RF) radio systems.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Associate's degree in engineering technology and five (5) years of experience.
  • Experience with cable fabrication and general mechanical assembly.
  • Experience assembling electromechanical assemblies, some of which are small.
  • Experience soldering both through-hole and surface mount components.
  • ISCET Certified Electronics Technician.
  • ISCET Certified Radar Technician.
Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing documentation (e.g. mechanical/electrical, etc.).
  • Experience troubleshooting RF electronics, including transmitters and receivers.
  • Experience with manufacturing industry-standard software and laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Security Clearance
  • Active Top-Secret clearance
