Basic Job Functions:

The Environmental Manager develops and executes a strategy for the division that is in alignment with our enterprise sustainability strategy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading our baghouse and water treatment operations teams
• Leading Quality team
• Managing the facilities environmental activities including compliance, permitting, and building relationships with State and Federal environmental agencies
• Performing community outreach
• Partnering with all departments to drive continuous improvement
• Developing and growing our team for future success

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years' leadership experience in maintenance or operations in manufacturing with a focus on safety and environmental excellence
• Proven knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards, and technical understanding of baghouse and water systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Registered Environmental Manager credentials or PE license
• Experience in operations, maintenance, design of waste treatment, water treatment, baghouse, and air scrubbing systems
