Summary:As a key player in our team, you will develop and execute a sales plan for assigned Fabricator, OEM, and CM accounts. Your focus on business retention, account penetration, and demand identification initiatives will be crucial in meeting or exceeding established sales and profit forecast/goals. You will also play a significant role in developing new business within Western Pennsylvania, contributing to our overall success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties as assigned):

  • Identify, track, and pursue available business at assigned account base and geographic territory.
  • Manage account activity to ensure proper product penetration and volume increases.
  • Travel to accounts in the territory to meet with current and prospective accounts, present or reinforce DB Robert's value proposition, and identify and close business opportunities.
  • Manage all internal and external resources necessary to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Display or demonstrate products and/or services using appropriate sales and marketing collateral.
  • Develop and present professional business proposals to existing and prospective customers.
  • Prepare and submit strategic account call itinerary and call reports as required.
  • Work and communicate with inside sales to coordinate account activities and strategies.
  • Develop robust and productive supplier relationships and coordinate customer product presentations with suppliers.
  • Update customer profile tools and use the information to manage territory as required efficiently.
  • Develop, maintain, and advance relationships with key customer contacts, including purchasing, engineering, and upper management, within the assigned account base.
  • Directly solicits customer service feedback and, if necessary, assists in coordinating the resolution of any problems or issues.
  • Attend select trade shows as required.
  • Prepare and submit business expense reports as required.

This position requires the use of information or access to hardware that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or University; or four years related sales/marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in technical sales, or electronic component distribution sales or closely related field preferred. Fasteners experience a plus.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in the following applications: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with sales tracking software a plus, specifically CRM.

Frequent travel required.

Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.

Ability to manage time efficiently.

Very strong customer service skills.

Effective verbal and written communications.

Research and reporting skills to analyze sales data and trends to create sales opportunities.

Ability to negotiate.

Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.

Financial skills and business acumen to understand sales profitability and opportunities.
