Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Java Full Stack Developer,
Position Type: Contract with possible conversion
Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Minneapolis, MN 55437 (Hybrid)
As a Java Full Stack Developer, you will be:
- Developing highly efficient and effective software using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and APIs.
- Enhancing and maintaining on-premises and internal PaaS applications while actively reworking these to AWS according to project timelines.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of serverless patterns from containerized applications.
- Building industry-standard APIs and assisting with establishing, consuming, and routing calls, as well as determining connectivity protocols and policies.
- Designing, developing, and implementing architectural patterns that are optimized for SLAs, reliability, and cost.
- Looking upstream and downstream to anticipate future consequences of immediate technical choices.
- Helping to establish and grow a culture of software craftsmanship best practices, including TDD/BDD and Test Automation (both Unit and Integration), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
- Driving performance improvements, including monitoring, detailed metrics, trends, and costs to determine solutions and necessary process changes that enhance efficiency.
- Actively engaging in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, with the aim of continuous improvement.
- Initiating and leading code reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
The ideal candidate will have: - Experience in Java, Full Stack, or Python development.
- Experience working with GitHub and GitLab, SonarQube, JUnit, and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in writing and designing unit test cases using TDD and BDD methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in virtualizing services for test automation using tools such as WireMock, Mockito, etc.
- An automation mindset with hands-on experience in designing and writing automated tests for backend applications and data flow, using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Cypress, and Ready API.
- Hands-on experience working with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Circle CI.
- Broad hands-on experience with AWS Cloud serverless components and the ability to build and maintain cloud data processing systems (e.g., ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, SQS/SNS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Sage Maker, Athena, etc.).
- Experience using relational and object databases, as well as web service development standards and practices, including RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment using workload management tools like VersionOne or Agility.
- Experience with system integrations, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills, ensuring smooth and timely transmission of critical information.
- Flexibility to embrace challenges that are outside of your comfort zone.
