RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a well-known Non-profit in NYC seeks a Grant & Contract Manager. The role is 1 day a week in NYC & 4 days remote. This firm offers outstanding benefits & opportunities to advance.Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Grants & Contracts unit and provide direction and supervision to the unit's staff members
  • Actively manage periodic invoicing, financial reporting, labor distribution changes, reconciliations, budget modifications and grant closeout functions
  • Analyze the grant awards and ensure that all the allowable grant expenses including the indirect rates are properly budgeted and accounted for
  • Prepare monthly cash flow with expected grant spending, invoices and cash receipts extended out to the life of the grant where practical
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of all required financial reports to the various funders
  • Closely monitor collection activity to ensure that invoices are submitted monthly and collected promptly and reconciled within the accounting system
  • Assist the team with year-end audits as well as various program specific audits, process journal entries, and other various projects if needed
  • Assist Director of Grants to ensure compliance of grants with company's policies/procedures and donor rules/regulations, primarily New York State & City funding agencies
  • Develop, train, and provide guidance, support, and tools to all finance staff
  • Support the Director of Finance & Grants Management with refining, optimizing, and implementing financial systems, tools, structures, and processes


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of BA/BS degree required, with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience; Nonprofit experience and Experience with state & local grants
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Understand when to delegate tasks and when to escalate critical time sensitive issues
  • Working proficiency in Excel
  • Versatile in handling multiple tasks simultaneously in accordance with highest priority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Sense of professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Ability to analyze information and data


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
