Baker College is on the lookout for an HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in driving the daily operations of the Human Resources department, from talent acquisition and employee relations to benefits administration, compliance, and HR policies and procedures. By collaborating with HR leadership, the Generalist helps foster a dynamic, positive workplace culture while ensuring alignment with Baker College’s strategic goals and policies. The HR Generalist is responsible for maintaining accurate, confidential employee records and ensuring compliance with legal requirements, including FMLA, ADA, and EEOC regulations. Key duties include coordinating onboarding, monitoring HR metrics like turnover and employee satisfaction, and conducting orientations. The role also involves updating handbooks, addressing employee inquiries, managing benefits programs (including open enrollment and QLEs), and ensuring compliance with Baker College policies. The Generalist will support recruitment, training programs, foster positive workplace culture, enforce HR policies, and collaborate with management to align HR initiatives with business goals.
