Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Course Developer/Instructor specializing in Intelligence in space operations. This position also serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in intelligence targeting and assessment, contributing to our diverse and skilled workforce.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training courses and content tailored to the National Space Defense Center (NSDC) mission. They will facilitate training in both classroom and operational environments, while also establishing and standardizing procedures related to NSDC operations.
In addition to instructional duties, the candidate will provide on-site technical expertise in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations. This includes guiding roles such as Target Duty Officer (TDO) and Senior Intelligence Duty Officer (SIDO), as well as expertise in Positive Identification (PID), Combat Identification (CID), Battle Damage Assessment (BDA), and Battle Damage Indications (BDI), with a strong emphasis on targeting.
Compensation Minimum: $200,000
Compensation Maximum: $230,000
Job Requirements:
Skills / Experience Required
- Current Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI (Sensitive Compartment Information) Eligibility
- 15+ years' experience in an SAP/SCI environment and worked in this environment within the last five years
- May be required to consent to and successfully complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph
- 10-15+ years of Intelligence Operations and/or planning
- 10-15+ years of Intelligence Training and/or Evaluations in a classroom and simulator environment
- Develop, refine and update training courseware based on instructor observation and student feedback
- Participate and support lesson-learned meetings and discussions to enhance instructorship based and training events and exercises
- Support a Tier Combatant Command exercise to validate training and revise training
- Produce monthly status reports about on-going and up-coming events
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership to help ensure mission success
Education / Certifications - Master's degree (MA/MS/ME)
- Relevant work experience/training certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree

Security ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
