As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.
Essential Functions
- IT intern in a ancillary role focused on IT governance and The Business of IT".
- Focuses more on project/process management, data analytics/modeling, and standardization of process in a future state IT organization.
- Assist in project and process management, ensuring alignment with IT goals and best practices.
- Conduct data analytics and modeling to inform decision-making and optimize IT processes.
- Contribute to "The Business of IT" by integrating governance principles into application development projects.
- Support IT governance initiatives and the development of a future-state IT organization by standardizing processes and frameworks.
- Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.
- Participates in various networking and/or community service events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationCurrently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Degree: Currently enrolled in a degree program such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Business Analytics, Management, Finance, Economics, Information Security/Science/Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or other related major.
Minimum ExperienceNo experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work productively and proactively, both independently and as a part of a team.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.
Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.
Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. Salary is $40/hour. This internship can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
