THE ROLE'S MISSION

VEG's Technology team supports over 80+ VEG hospitals through ticketing, field visits, phone calls, and hardware configuration. A high volume of equipment flows through our HQ in White Plains, NY and needs to be audited and tracked daily to ensure accurate inventory to fulfill our hospitals' requests. The inventory associate will notify leadership of any backorder risks, and collaborate with procurement vendors to source comparable equipment. This role will be directly responsible for ensuring all inventory in the IT storage room is accurate, and unpacking IT deliveries the office receives daily. They will enter relevant asset information into our database and handle any device repairs and RMA's. In addition, this role will monitor hardware warranty expirations and track hardware that will need to be refreshed due to age.

WHO WE NEED

You are a passionate, motivated individual with prior experience managing high volume inventory. You are eager to learn and grow and can function as a part of the team; cross collaborating with other departments when necessary. You are comfortable adapting to new scenarios, pivoting when priorities change, willing to learn new techniques, and have a solution-oriented mindset. You have excellent interpersonal capabilities across a diverse group. You're happy to pitch in wherever and whenever you are needed, with a positive attitude. You demonstrate the ability to accomplish assigned tasks, follow written documentation, and know when to ask for help.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO

  • Daily inventory counts and audits for all IT devices and equipment
  • Order, receive and stock inventory received to VQ
  • Check for low stock on equipment daily and notify leadership
  • Monitor and audit product turnover to adjust reorder quantities
  • Monitor and clearly communicate backordered items and find comparable item
  • Maintain procurement vendor relationships
  • Mark when boxes are received and enter serial numbers into inventory
  • Log up to 50 device serial numbers per day
  • Receive deliveries, unbox packages and add to inventory
  • Prepare daily outgoing packages and create shipping labels
  • Organize IT stock room
  • Understand basic computer troubleshooting
  • Track hardware warranties and flag when equipment should be refreshed due to age
  • Oversee all hardware repairs and RMA's
  • Collaborate with team members to get hardware to our hospitals quickly and efficiently through tickets
  • Prepare daily outgoing packages

WHAT YOU NEED
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory management
  • Flexibility in schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess strong communication skills, written, verbal, or other
  • Ability to learn how to use software programs such as monday.com, Oomnitza, and JAMF
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on your own
