The Legal Resource Assistant is responsible for supporting legal staff by gathering, organizing, and maintaining legal resources, documents, and case files. This role involves assisting in legal research, managing databases, drafting and proofreading legal documents, and ensuring that the legal team has the necessary resources for case preparation and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Legal Research & Document Management:

Conduct legal research on a variety of topics, including statutes, case law, regulations, and legal precedents.
Assist in preparing research summaries and reports for lawyers or paralegals.
Organize and manage legal documents, contracts, and case files (both physical and digital).
Maintain and update legal databases, filing systems, and case management software.
Administrative Support:

Draft and proofread legal documents such as contracts, memoranda, and legal correspondence.
Assist in preparing discovery documents, exhibits, and trial materials.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, hearings, and conferences related to cases.
Track deadlines for filing and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal timelines.
Client and Vendor Liaison:

Communicate with clients, vendors, and external agencies to gather necessary information for case preparation.
Prepare client billing records and assist with invoice tracking.
Case Preparation and Trial Support:

Help lawyers prepare for hearings, trials, and depositions by organizing exhibits and case notes.
Ensure that all required documents are available and properly filed with courts or agencies.
Assist in preparing presentations or trial exhibits when necessary.
Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff to facilitate the efficient operation of the legal team.
Provide general administrative assistance to lawyers and paralegals, including travel arrangements and meeting scheduling.
