The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 80% (32 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Cedar Rapids Fam Med Clinic. This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.

Duties to include:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
- Current valid driver's license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards

0% (32 hours per week) Schedule: Monday - Friday; 4 8-hour days with variable hours between 7:30 AM - 8:30 PM; no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call time.
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA. (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours) Pay Grade: 11 Salary: $43,848.32 to $65,332.32 (at 100% time)/ Hourly rate: $20.92 - $31.17 (
based on years of experience)
Minimum Eligibility Requirements - Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support provider
Special Qualification/License: - Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Highly Desired Requirements - Previous EPIC experience
- Previous scribing experience
Desirable Qualifications - Ability to demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and autonomy in all aspects of the role
- Previous Family Medicine Clinic experience
