Our client, a reputable law firm in La Jolla, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in commercial litigation to join their dynamic team. If you have over 5 years of experience, hold an ABA certificate, and are a notary public, we want to hear from you!

Position: Litigation Paralegal
Location: La Jolla, CA
Schedule: Onsite at least 3 days a week
Experience: 5+ years in commercial litigation

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with federal, state, and appellate filings, including e-filing procedures.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
• Perform legal research and prepare case summaries.
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and up-to-date.
• Calendar deadlines and manage court schedules.
• Coordinate and assist with trial preparation, including assembling trial binders and exhibits.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Conduct administrative duties as needed to support the litigation team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• ABA-approved paralegal certificate required.
• Notary public certification preferred.
• Proficiency in e-filing with federal, state, and appellate courts.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in legal research and litigation support software.
