Position Overview

The Coating Machine Operator plays a critical role in the production process by setting up, operating, and monitoring equipment to coat flat films with silicone and other materials. This position ensures high-quality output that meets or exceeds customer specifications. Operators work independently and collaboratively, adhering to safety and operational standards while maintaining equipment functionality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coating machines, including silicone coaters and auxiliary equipment, to apply coatings to flat films.
• Monitor machine operations, gauges, and control boards to identify and address malfunctions, ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Load materials into machines, accurately weighing and adjusting feed mechanisms for optimal operation.
• Start and manage metering pumps to ensure consistent flow of silicone coatings.
• Conduct quality checks on coated films, ensuring dimensional accuracy and silicone continuity, and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning of equipment, including wiping finish rollers and washing trays with solvents as required.
• Record machine performance, malfunctions, and operational parameters according to standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure raw materials and final products meet quality standards, including basic lab testing and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to housekeeping and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Technical Skills:
  • Operation Monitoring: Ability to observe and assess gauges, dials, and other indicators for machine functionality.
  • Equipment Operations: Proficiency in controlling machinery operations, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
  • Problem Detection: Capability to recognize issues in the production process and take corrective actions or notify supervisors.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor operational problems.
  • Ability to lift, load, and handle materials during production processes.
