Enhance and lead all accounting operations (revenue, invoicing, collections, purchasing, sourcing, payables and treasury management) to deliver timely and accurate daily financial transactions in support of a 3-day operational accounting close while optimizing all systems and dependent activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Direct responsibility Accounting Operation Team Members

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Partner with Administrative Systems and team to ensure Workday is maintained and optimized
• Responsible for change control process as well as application controls
• Manage the purchasing to payment lifecycle from policy to daily execution to reporting
• Manage portfolio and sourcing RFPs
• Partnership with Reporting team on policy, accounting and reporting requirements
• Manage purchasing and payables team member(s) who executes day to day activities
• Key role in management of vendor partner platform (LogicSource) to execute P2P activities including portfolio and sourcing RFPs wing-to-wing
• Consults on any system implementation or enhancements needed
• Manage accounts receivable specialist who executes day to day activities
• Partner with FP&A to review Carrier Services business performance and key operational metrics
• Manage the cycle from policy to daily execution to reporting and define processes
• Partnership with VP, Controller on policy, accounting and reporting requirements
• Disbursements planning
• Manage collection activities to meet DSO goals and monitor related banking activities
• Partner with FP&A and Reporting teams to monitor cash position and update 13 to 26 week cash forecast
• Project management expert responsible for planning, executing, and successfully completing assigned projects
• Manage daily monitoring, accounting and reconciliation of Brokerage Policies in Workday
• Partner with Operations team to ensure completeness and accuracy policies between operations production system (Landscape) and Workday
• Partner with Commissions accounting team to monitor cash application to policy receivables in Workday
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree with focus in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 7 - 9 years of progressive Accounting, Accounting Operations or Finance expertise
• Must be detail oriented, ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Strong analytical thinking capability with measured success in solving complex questions
• Strategic ability to understand business direction and suggest course changes to achieve a broader outcome

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Master's degree with focus on Accounting, Finance or related field
• Experience with Workday, Concur, Logic Source Purchasing/Sourcing platform

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
