Starting pay is $26.74/hour

Shift: 6pm - 6am and Rotating (2-2-3 shift)

Essential Job Functions:
• Operate the palletizing and depalletizing machines
• Maintain constant visual inspection of the production stream for any can defects. Defective cans are to be removed from the production stream and reported to the Supervisor
• Operate the palletizers in such a manner that all pallets produced are straight, complete, and meet all customer, shipping and storage requirements
• Keep accurate production and quality records for hand sorting and brite-stacking via specified forms and Protraq
• Notify Supervisor of any recurring equipment malfunctions or material quality, i.e. pallets, chip board
• Drive fork truck as necessary
• Clear minor jams on the automatic bander and restart bander
• Complete hourly visual inspections as required, and enter results into Gainseeker
• Work with lift truck operators and lab technicians during periods of holds to embargo all defective products and to clear the line of defect
• Perform secondary jobs as instructed by Supervisor
• Review work areas "Cleaning List", and perform tasks listed, and initial "Cleaning List" once each task is completed

Job Requirements:
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Great attention to detail
• Knowledge of hazardous waste contingency plan
• Ability to work with little supervision

Experience/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crawl, squat, and stand for extended period, while running machinery up to 12 hours
• Must possess adequate upper body strength to repeatedly pull or push hand tools in order to make, repair, or adjust parts and/or machines
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to be in constant motion about 50-70% of shifts
