RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a POS Support Technician.Key Responsibilities:- Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for Dynamify and NextStep POS systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and test POS systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality
- Networking: Manage basic networking tasks, including switching, firewall configuration, and cabling to ensure seamless connectivity and security
- Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they are proficient in using the POS systems
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates to POS systems to ensure they are up-to-date and running smoothly
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to support requests and resolving issues efficiently
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure seamless integration and support of POS systems
REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting F&B POS systems, specifically Dynamify or NextStep
- Strong knowledge of POS hardware and software, networking (including basic switching, firewall configuration, and cabling), and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- A customer-centric attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support and service
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
