The department of Medicine with the Peggy and Harold Katz Family Drug Discovery Center has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Postdoctoral Associate to work onsite on the UHealth campus. He/she will work under the direction of a principal investigator and conducts/assists with a variety of research activities that are complex and wide in scope.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Performs statistical analyses, including selecting the appropriate analysis procedure,
• setting up data for analysis, judging validity and reliability of data, designing and writing
• programs to perform analyses and producing written reports on the result of the analyses.
• Assists faculty researchers and other collaborators in the planning and design of research
• experiments.
• Establishes priorities and recommends schedules, timetables and costs.
• Presents project results to internal and external parties.
• Operates specialized scientific equipment.
• Uses available technology to facilitate the success of projects.
• Liaises with other departments, outside collaborators and others to ensure success of
• experiments.
• Writes technical publications and reports.
• Trains staff, graduate assistants and/or student employees

CORE REQUIREMENTS

• MD or Ph.D. in relevant field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of the subject disciplines.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with all levels of staff.
