Job Description:

Are you experienced in Printing Services or have Mail Room experience? The Department of Administrative Services Materiel Division is looking for a Printing Technician II to join their team. The Printing Technician will be a dual purpose position, working both in the Print Shop and Mail/Supply Services. This position may operate digital printing equipment, Mail inserters as well as finishing equipment. Sets up machines for other staff and handles the bindery duties.

Job Duties: Operates inserters and inkjet machines in the Print Shop for stuffing and addressing mail. Operates postage machines. Sets up, operates, and performs routine maintenance on Digital, Mail and finishing equipment. This equipment includes Konica Minolta digital printers, Bell & Howell mail inserting equipment, Quadient postage machines, cutters, folders, paper drills, punches, binding machines, shrink-wrap machine, stitchers, padders, label machine, etc. Moves stock and mail. Moving finished materials to include mail to state agencies using state vehicles, pallet jacks, two wheels and other handling equipment. Performs handwork in the bindery production area hand marrying multi-sections of books together in order, placing covers on books and stapling or binding books. Other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.

Requirements /Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Three years of relative experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Some Mail operations knowledge to include mail machines, inserting machines and postage meters.

Other: Regular and Reliable attendance is required. This position requires travel of 20 miles daily, as needed. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Some knowledge of mail operations and machines to put postage on letters and packages, USPS regulations, types of mail, rates and mail standards. Ability to stand on your feet for most of an 8 hour shift.
