This position will serve as a Vacation Relief for the Production Clerks. Candidates must be willing and able to work day shift and night shift as necessary. When not filling in for Production Clerks, this position will actively support the Commodities Department to ensure accurate production demand planning and finished goods inventories. The position will also cross-train for other roles within the Commodities Department.

How You Will Make Contributions That Matter...

• Complete accurate production reports.
  
• By production line, record daily production volume and product activity.
  
• By production line, validate OEE in support of daily and weekly production plan.
  
• Report downtime activity by line.
  
• Pull inventory samples from production floor at required times each shift.
  
• Collect critical paperwork from production areas each shift.
  
• Perform real-time investigations into documentation errors and coach operators when necessary.
  
• Work with operations team members to investigate issues and problem solve errors.
  
• Prepare weekly and monthly production reports to report operational efficiencies.
  
• Support internal and external audits.
  
• Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
  
• Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
  
• Other duties as required by management.
  

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You....

• Are able to work both first shift or second shift - including overtime, weekends and holidays - as necessary.
  
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. Strong MS Excel skills required. SAP experience a plus.
  
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  
• Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
  
• Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  
• Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes, but is not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, and maneuvering around manufacturing equipment.
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Starting pay is $23.79 per hour
