Job Summary

The Program Director and Assistant Professor of Business is responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students. This role involves teaching a variety of business courses, mentoring students, and participating in curriculum development.

Roane State Community College is a multi-campus comprehensive community college serving an eight-county area in East Tennessee. Qualified applicants, including current employees, must apply for and submit a new application and resume (if required) for each position opening. Job Duties

* Provide leadership for the Business program courses.

* Teach Business classes and serve as Business Chair.

* Advise students.

* Serve as the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), liaison and complete the biennial progress report and a ten-year reaffirmation report for accreditation.

* Serve on college committees and attend college functions as assigned.

* Demonstrate collegiality with all faculty and other campus personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

* Master's degree in business, business administration, business management, finance, financial services, marketing, or management.
* Teaching experience in higher education.
* Experience advising students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Work experience in the business environment possibly business ownership community/economic development work experience.
* Management/Administration experience.
