The College of Arts & Sciences Business Operations Office includes Dean's Office teams for both finance and human resources, as well as a shared services team to provide support for individual units' finance and human resources needs. These teams have been created to provide a high level of service to the College of Arts & Sciences while increasing operational efficiency, effectiveness and communication.
Position Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Assistant. This role will primarily involve converting physical employee files into organized digital records.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, familiarity with computer systems, and an aptitude for working independently while collaborating effectively within a team. Flexible hours are available for this position.
Key responsibilities include: Scan and digitize physical employee files, ensuring high-quality digital records; Ensure all digital files are accurate, complete, and properly labeled; Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information; Assist with occasional data entry and file management tasks as needed.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic database systems
- Ability to work independently, with moderate to limited supervision
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new tasks and systems
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Experience with scanning equipment and document management software
Special Physical/Mental Requirements:Ability to lift 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
