The Project Director is responsible for the development and ongoing management of Carelon's Financial Risk product platform. Project Directors support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of business capabilities supporting internal and external client-facing programs and initiatives. This role will work in a hybrid way from our Denver CO Corporate offices.

How you will make an impact:

  • Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation, and compliance of ongoing client-facing financial risk programs.
  • Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to daily business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.
  • Develops communication documents and training criteria related to external client-facing program success measures.
  • Develops documentation to support meeting presentations and the tracking and reporting of the program's success.
  • Provides leadership to business and IT project managers.
  • Program directors typically manage external client-facing programs and managing activities and resources of multiple departments or business areas of the organization.

Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 9 years professional project management experience, which at least 7 years are spent leading and directing large project tasks; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • 10+ years experience in the health care industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in client-facing program management, project management, complex business processes, strategic and business planning.
  • Expertise in financial risk operations and consulting services.
  • Experience and knowledge with Carelon's services.
  • Project management certification (PMP) or currently pursing.
  • Experience in operational planning, workflow mapping, and project management.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $125,840 to $188,760

Locations: Colorado
