Purpose

In the role of Quality Assurance Manager, you would be part of a tight knit, successful team focused on delivering the highest level of customer service and satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of and drive significant sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Would include building strong working relationships with customers supported by a high level of product knowledge and expertise.
  • The right person will be one who embraces teamwork and be willing to form strong internal relationships as well as external to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Key Competencies and Skills Required
  • Ensure strict adherence to all associated manuals, standards, and specifications for the fabrication of HDPE fittings.
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to guarantee that all products meet internal and customer specifications.
  • Conduct verification of final fittings measurements to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Perform testing on HDPE fittings in accordance with established specifications and procedures.
  • Document and maintain records of quality checks, testing results, and corrective actions.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues in collaboration with the production team.
  • Develop and manage quality control documentation including inspection reports, test records, and non-conformance reports.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure that any deviations from quality standards are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve the quality assurance process, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide training to staff on quality control processes and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in quality management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in the plastics, manufacturing, or HDPE industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HDPE materials and fittings fabrication standards.
  • Experience with quality control tools, methodologies, and testing procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications and drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to quality issues.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM standards).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
