BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Quality Outreach Coordinator for an opportunity in Remote (CST)!

Position Title: Quality Outreach Coordinator

Location: Remote (CST)
Anticipated Start Date: 12/9/2024

Job Description:

Position Purpose: The Program Coordinator 1 will assist in activities related to closing open care gaps for high-risk members. This includes outreach and support for quality initiatives, including member engagement and coordination with healthcare providers to improve healthcare outcomes. The position supports efforts to increase preventive care compliance and ensures the accuracy of medical data.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managed care setting, medical office, or facility environment, with demonstrated medical administration duties
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in closing care gaps for high-risk members by providing outreach and education
  • Support quality initiatives including contacting members who are non-compliant with designated outreach services
  • Conduct seasonal call campaigns in coordination with local market efforts
  • Enter data assessments and authorizations into the system and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure the integrity of Personal Health Information (PHI) is maintained
  • Provide customer service to members, including outbound calling and addressing concerns or inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with HEDIS (Health Effectiveness Data and Information Sets), QARR (Quality Assurance Reporting Requirements), and PSO (Preventative Service Outreach)
  • Assist in Health Risk Assessments (HRA) as needed
  • Maintain awareness of compliance policies and standards

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Display the ability to solve problems independently using available resources
  • Exhibit exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Actively engage in training and be proactive in applying knowledge
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in healthcare or customer service (2+ years)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Comfortable working in a "call center" environment
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with HEDIS and QARR reporting
  • Exceptional phone behavior and customer service skills
  • Healthcare background (doctor's office, hospital, or managed care setting)
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
